What is the role?

The role of Marketing & Communications Manager, NZ has oversight of shaping the brand identity and positioning of the fastest growing brand in small appliances across the New Zealand marketplace. Your creative vision and strategic mindset will drive the success of our products, ensuring they stand out in a competitive landscape and that go-to-market planning supports the commercial objectives of the ANZ business, across both new and existing product categories.

What are the responsibilities?

Brand Strategy & Planning

  • Support development and execution of SharkNinja’s brand plans and agency briefing framework.
  • Build data-driven marketing plans and briefs, aligned to commercial priorities, consumer insights and market trends.
  • Partner with global teams to localise global assets, ensuring brand consistency and regional relevance.

Campaign Development

  • Lead all-agency briefs and campaign rollouts for multiple product launches
  • Manage cross-agency collaboration from concept to execution, including ATL, Social, Influencer, PR and Activations.
  • Work with and support the Commercial and Trade Marketing teams to ensure consistency of messaging and creative through-the-line.

Media & Performance

  • Partner with media team to build robust media plans and optimise media mix (Linear, BVOD/SVOD, social, digital).
  • Track NPD and category performance on a regular cadence, share insights, and continually improve ROI.
  • Support growth of always-on content, influencer, and earned media strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • In close partnership with the Sydney based product marketing team, you’ll work with the Product, Commercial, Retail Marketing and the Consumer Insights teams to ensure go-to-market excellence.
  • Liaise with global brand teams to champion local needs and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver toolkits, asset uploads, and retail alignment.

Budget & Project Management

  • Own and manage primary category responsibility for go to market commercial impact for both Core and New Product launches including budgeting responsibilities.
  • Lead creative and production workflows to deliver assets that are on-brand, on-time, and on-budget.
  • Track and optimise local production costs, vendor relationships, and commercial impact to maximise return on spend.
